| Maz Jobrani in town and Sir tom is coming!!! April 4th 2010 Well how good did I do at keeping this upto date!! So March was a wild month, loads of really top secret things are occurring at radio house.... Lets just say May is going to be a fun month! Well this week we have a HUGE comedy event coming to Oman , MAZ JOBRANI is going to be appearing live at the Crowne Plaza on wednesday night, and i am sooooo looking forward to it! The week after two more entertainment treats for Oman as well - 14th April sees TOM JONES roll into the intercon hotel with his world tour!!!! THAT WILL BE SO COOL! there is some tix left - 95555699 for details. And the next Dj Aqeel indias number 1 dj is live at the yacht club! | Injured Ankles, Bedroom Studio and Bad drivers! March 15th 2010 Well that was a quick week, and sooooo much happened, Firstly Hats off and full congrats to the 6th Form at BRITISH SCHOOL MUSCAT for pulling off an excellent fashion show last weekend, totally well done to all involved, the stage was well desgined and the show was pretty much flawless, so well done to all involved!! The show was a lot of fun to be involved with, right up to when i decided to have a wonder around the garden and fell into a gutter, and have a lovely cast on my leg as a result!! Did you rememeber mothers day? I managed too and scored bonus points for actually remembering for the first time in years!! Well done this week to TALENT PARTNERS who organised a charity quiz night at the dolphin club in muscat, a great night was had by all, and no new ankle / leg / foot injuries anywhere! Beforei go i must congratulate the driver of the white yaris who decided it was so much fun to aim his car at me whilst i was crossing the road at a zebra crossing, he did manage to miss me by inches....so i cant be too mad at him!! all i will say is KARMA!! Have a great week!!! Dx Comedy - Rain - and lots of dust! March 9th 2010 Welcome one and all to another Brekky Blog thingy! Well it would appear quite a few of you actually read this so i have been So I promise to write this more than once every 100 weeks!!! Well lets start with work, 7th April sees the what i think will be the best comedy show in town, MAZ JOBRANI, i only wish i didn't have to work that night, i seriously want to be watching that whole show, it will be very cool. ( note to a certain other "confidential" muscat blogger - the waistcoat will return! ) Grab your tickets early, it will sell out rapid! So the rains came, i got sandbags at home, gaffa taped all the windows and well it was dissapointing, OK very relived it wasn't actually a monsoon, but gutted i didnt get to test the carefully installed weatherproofing from lulu!!! And now its just damn dusty! Very weird looking up and seeing no sky as such just dust!!! On a personal note, i am gonna be in my ma's good books this yr, i remembered mothers day all on my own ( honest ) well sort off ( thank you Andrea xx !), if your living away from home try www.moonpig.com they will print your card and send it home for you!!! Congrats to Gordon and his team for an awesome gig at Safari last weekend, SkerryVore played live and i had the pleasure of seeing them both nights, and it was awesome, not at all what i expected, brilliant night, even when a certain someone decided to end the night with a fractured toe, and a visit to muscat private hospital! ( more on that next week - v funny story ) So this weekend there is loads of events, a great charity night at the dolphin ( check the events page!) and a fashion show for BSM, live music at the rugby club, and the Beach soccer marathon!! | Ali Campbell and lots of Bikes! Feb 22nd 2010, Well i knew keeping the blog up on a daily basis would be impossible for me to do!!! So whats been happening: Well Ali Campbell rocked, and he was sucha nice guy!!! The whole crew behind the scenes actually made the event probably the best i have seen here in Oman, it was an awesome gig and well done to all of you who came along to see it, the more you support this kind of thing the more we can do. The Tour Of Oman came to town and hats off to Muscat Municipality for arranging a fantastic event, its great to see international events like this in Muscat, and the support from the community was in its thousands, heres to the next one!!! | Hi Welcome to the Breakfast Blog then! 2 Concerts and comedy show and a wedding! I am seriously bad at updating things, and am pretty sure the novelty will wear off pretty soon, but lets give it a go! Well this week at Radio house, things are pretty hectic, we have been getting ready for our 2nd anniversary celebrations and i can reveal there is some pretty cool things coming over the next few weeks! Next week proves to be a great week for Oman, 2 huge events coming the country in the space of 7 days, For Bollywood fans A.R Rahman of Jai Ho Fame is playing what could be the countrys biggest ever stadium gig on the 21st, ( click Here ) and then the following week its he of Ub40 fame "Ali Campbell"!! It's worth noting that the promoters and investors take huge risks in putting events of this size on in Oman, and you guys should all support it as the more support they get the bigger the gigs get, and that can only be good for Oman! Another Cool event being organised by Oman Sail is the OMAN vs THE WORLD extreme sailing event, it will be a huge FREE 2 day sporting event at the new marina at THE WAVE project, along with RedBull we are planning a pretty cool weekend of entertainment at the event - Check the events tab at the top of the page! Last night was Craic attack here in Muscat and as usual the Comedians were top class, and a whole load of you who turned up seemed to agree too, next one is in FEB watch this space!
